Some students in the Bumblebees love watching foamy soap pile up on the floor or in their hands—totally normal sensory and cause-and-effect exploration! To support this, the teachers turned foaming soap bottles into a fun sensory activity tied to our “On the Move” theme. The children discovered they needed to stand to push harder and noticed how the spring inside moves up and down to make the soap come out. They also talked about how the spring in the bottle moved up and down to push the foam up and out. They worked on their problem solving skills, fine motor and gross skills! We had a blast kicking off this year’s Kids Heart Challenge at Wanamaker Early Learning Center! With help from this year’s Heart Heroes, we’re learning all about keeping our hearts healthy through movement, kindness, rest, and knowing when to ask for help.
